🍹 Beverage Calculator for Parties & Weddings
Planning a party? One of the hardest things to figure out is how much to drink to buy. Buy too little and you’ll run out halfway through the night. Buy too much and you’ll be left with cases of wine and beer you don’t need (or a massive bar tab).
That’s where our beverage calculator comes in. Just enter your guest count and event length, and we’ll help you estimate how much beer, wine, spirits, and soft drinks you’ll need.
🎯 Why bother with a drink calculator?
Because guessing doesn’t work. Every host has asked themselves: “How many bottles of wine do I need for 50 people?” or “Will 100 beers be enough for a wedding?” Our calculator takes away the stress by giving you a quick, realistic estimate
❓ Beverage Calculator FAQs
How do I know how many drinks to buy for my party?
A good rule of thumb is 1–1.5 drinks per guest, per hour. Our calculator takes your guest count and event length, then breaks it down into beer, wine, spirits, and soft drinks.
How many drinks do I need for 100 guests?
For a 4-hour party with 100 guests, you’ll need around 600 total drinks. That’s roughly 240 beers, 180 glasses of wine, 120 cocktails, and 60 soft drinks.
What’s the best drink mix for a wedding?
Weddings typically lean toward wine and champagne, with some beer and spirits. A common split is 40% wine, 30% beer, 20% cocktails, and 10% non-alcoholic.
Should I buy extra drinks, just in case?
Yes! It’s always safer to have a small buffer (around 10–15% more than calculated). Drinks don’t spoil, and unopened bottles can usually be returned.
Does the beverage calculator include non-alcoholic drinks?
Absolutely. We always recommend adding water, soda, and juice for non-drinkers and kids. You can adjust the balance in the calculator.
How do I convert glasses into bottles?
Here’s a quick guide:
• 1 wine bottle = 5 glasses
• 1 spirit bottle (750ml) = ~20 cocktails
• 1 beer can/bottle = 1 serving
